The Gorrion de Montaña

Its name is Gorrion de Montaña y and its scientific name is "Galbula ruficauda", and he is a regular visitor in Punta Leona.

It is common to see him in the forest areas that surround the installation. He is very silent and active and is always moving around the forest.

The Gorrion de Montaña (Galbula ruficauda) likes to habitat open and secondary forests. He feeds on bees, butherflies and  other insects. 

He lives on his own or in pairsan lays between two or four eggs between March and June. His habitat range from Ecuador to Argentina.
