details some of the optional tours that can be scheduled through
our front desk, including descriptions, price per person,
and departure times. All tours require a minimum of 2 people
to take place. It is best to contact the front desk in advance
to book the tour and reconfirm all information. Not all tours
are available year round so be sure to inquire as to availability
before you arrive.
Horseback Riding
Explore the nearby mountains and forests
on a horseback riding tour. One of the best ways to truly
enjoy nature, and appreciate the surroundings. Admire the
magnificent views and scenery; Days Offered: Daily; Departure

Manuel
Antonio National Park
Located two hours from Punta Leona, Manuel
Antonio National Park is considered to be Costa Rica’s
most beautiful park, with enchanting white sand beaches ideal
for swimming and the tropical forest alive with wildlife.
Watch out for the monkeys and iguanas sharing the park with
you. Either relax in the tropical splendor, or explore the
park’s trails leading to scenic lookouts. A visit to
the nearby town of Quepos for a "tipico" lunch finishes
off a perfect day. Be aware that on Monday this tour is not
operated, because the National Park is closed for visitors
that day of the week. Transportation, lunch, park entrance

Canopy Adventure, Cable Aventura.
Experience the exhilarating adventure of
climbing above the canopy of the tropical forest and passing
from one platform to another, while enjoying close contact

Carara
Biological Reserve
Located just 20 minutes from Hotel Punta
Leona, this is one of the most important and highly visited
biological reserves in Costa Rica. Walk through the trails
of this transitional forest, a cross between a dry tropical
forest and humid jungle. Carara is the home of many mammals,
hundreds of birds (including the rare Scarlet Macaw), and
a vast number of species of plants and trees. Appreciate the
wonders of this intricate eco-system and it's importance to
our planet. Also, observe enormous crocodiles basking along
the side of the Tarcoles River. Transportation, breakfast,

Jungle River Cruise
This fascinating tour will take you along
the Guacalillo Estuary and the Tarcoles River by boat, entering
into the habitat of the enormous crocodiles, which you will
see up close. Also, observe many bird species that make their
home here, as well as a variety of migratory species. The
boat cruises down river into the estuary, where your guide
will explain about this complex eco-system. Transportation,

White Water Rafting on the Savegre
Costa Rica’s mighty rivers provide
wonderful opportunities for white water rafting enthusiasts.
This river has class III and IV rapids and combines adventure
with a chance to observe exotic wildlife. Transportation,

Arenal
Volcano and Hotsprings
Traveling over the mountains to the rich
plains of the area of San Carlos, suddenly you will come upon
the perfect cone shaped Arenal Volcano. This active volcano
experiences period eruptions, rumbling as its sends clouds
of smoke and ash into the sky (which you will see and may
even feel!). Witness the spectacle of the Volcano at night,
watching the red lava snake down the mountain and illuminating
the sky like a magnificent display of fireworks. Take time
out to relax in the nearby thermal hot springs and naturally
heated Jacuzzis. Departure time: 8:00AM.
Tortuga Island Cruise
An unforgettable trip, cruising among the
picturesque islands of the Gulf of Nicoya. On board the yacht,
listen to live tropical music until you reach the deserted
“Isla Tortuga”. Once on the island, enjoy the
swaying palms and white sandy beach, swim, snorkel and explore
before partaking in a delicious, fresh lunch. This day meant
to spoil you with the ultimate relaxation and the fine service
