Restaurants and Bars

Regarding dining, Hotel Punta Leona offers 3 different restaurants, 3 snack and light food restaurants and 2 bars. During high season, they are open as follows:

The Leon Marino Restaurant, located next to the new pool, features an international and Costa Rican style lunch buffet daily and is open from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Grill , located in the center of the resort complex, cooks savory traditional Costa Rican and international cuisine dinner by menu (seafood and grill specialities). Its opening hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday to Sunday.

Carabelas Restaurant, our brand new restaurant located in the Selvamar area, serves traditional and Costa Rican style buffet breakfast daily (7 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.). Also serving buffet style dinner Wednesday to Friday (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.).

Palenque Carara, located next to Playa Blanca, prepares Costa Rican fare, hamburgers and sandwiches. (lunch only, 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.)

Snack Mantas, in the center of the resort complex, offers an assortment of fast food such as pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs. (open daily 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.)

The Al Garete Bar open daily (10 a.m. to 12 p.m.) serves a variety of refreshing cocktails and beers.

Our open air discotheque and bar, located next to the main pool in front of Playa Mantas, is open Tuesday to Sunday. Tuesday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. The Disco Bar serves a variety of tropical cocktails and beers.

The average cost of meals are the following:
Breakfast Buffet: approximately $7.00 + 23% tax per person
Lunch Buffet: approximately $10.00 + 23% tax per person
Dinner Buffet: approximately $10.00 + 23% tax per person
Beer: $1.50 per beer
Mixed Drinks: $3.00 per drink

You can pay directly at the restaurant per meal, or set up an account at reception to have them billed to your room.

The meal plan is very diverse and dinner and lunch buffet include soup, salad bar, vegetables, meat, fish or poultry, a variety of desserts, and fruit juices.
